Value engineered 230,000 square foot nursing home. Twenty-five (25)
rooftop gas package units control interior comfort. Each unit has
a full enthalpy controlled economizer for outdoor air requirements.
Four hundred twenty-five (425) zone dampers and seventy-six (76)
exhaust fans meet zoning requirements for the three hundred thirty-five
(335) rooms. The full DDC system allows separate set points for
the wide variety of requirements a nursing facility demands. Maintenance
personnel can easily change set point requirements and diagnose
problems from the main computer Review and have access to each zone
sensor via laptop. Kitchen exhaust requirements are achieved through
the use of 3 hoods with gas fired make up air units. Training of
the nursing homes maintenance staff was computerized and monitored
for a 2 week period. Atlantic Air Corporation has remained available
to the facility as technical advisors, training new maintenance
personnel in the operation of the controls systems and engineering
the many changes a nursing home facility goes through as it seeks
a more comfortable environment for clients. |
